Free Facebook Timeline Covers

Now that Facebook has required the new Timeline format on fan pages, Facebook cover designs are essential. While I don’t love the layout of Timeline, I do love the chance to create a cute custom look for my Facebook page and I wanted you to have three free designs to start out with too!

I thought it would be best to give these designs to you as Photoshop layered files so that you had the chance to add your own images and title text to personalize it. These files can be opened and edited in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements.

These cute cover designs are sized at 851px by 315px (the exact size required by Facebook) and they include placeholder layers with instructions for placing your images. They also include profile placeholders that you can remove before uploading.

  1. Thank you so much! I’m still refusing to switch to Timeline, but when I do, I’ll be glad to have a cute header 🙂

    • Same here. I haven’t switched my personal Facebook page to Timeline either – just the fan page since it was required. But I’m glad that you like the Timeline Covers just in case you switch in the future. Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks for this! I did change over to Timeline & hadn’t even considered the personalization possibilities!

Great templates – I love your style! Quick question though, I doesn’t look like the fonts were included, I can’t seem to retype over your template text using and use same font. Am I doing something wrong in Photoshop? Could you tell me which font you used for the yellow text on the first template?

    • Oh sure! I wasn’t able to include the fonts in this download, due to the font licensing and redistribution terms, but the font you are referring to is called “Cookie” and it’s found in the Google Web Fonts Library for free. You can view the font at this link HERE – just click “Open Cookie in Google Web Fonts” and you should be able to download it there. Hope that helps!
